TypeScript frontends, REST API backends, and concurrent systems, shipped through Docker and CI/CD. Currently exploring the maritime and offshore domain through self-directed subsea inspection software.
I build full-stack web applications, TypeScript on the frontend and REST APIs on the backend, and ship them through Docker and CI/CD pipelines. I'm drawn to systems that have to stay correct under load: concurrent execution, data-driven logic, and secure authentication.
Alongside development work, I spend my office hours as a technical support advisor at Memorial University's Office of the Registrar, translating records issues into plain language for students and staff. That's four years of practice moving between technical and non-technical audiences.
I'm finishing my BSc in Computer Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland (August 2026), and I've been studying the maritime and offshore domain independently: geospatial and situational data, the kind of problem space CarteNav works in.

Where I've worked
Four roles so far, mostly building and supporting the systems people rely on.
- Helped build parts of an order management system for a student-run trading project, working mostly on the scheduling logic and getting comfortable with how threads run alongside each other.
- Wrote and fixed unit tests as part of the team's CI checks, which taught me a lot about catching bugs before they hit the shared code.
- Got hands-on with Docker and a basic CI/CD setup, and I'm currently learning how to deploy services and a PostgreSQL database to AWS.
- Work with other students day to day using Git branches and pull requests, and we review each other's changes.
- Help students and staff with their day-to-day questions on the Banner records system, and pass the trickier cases along to the right people.
- Four years of explaining technical problems in plain language and keeping clear notes on what I did and why.
- Kept records tidy and accurate in Raiser's Edge so the reporting and outreach team could trust the data they were working with.
- Handled client communication, filing, compliance paperwork, and expense tracking for the company director over about five years.

Subsea Inspection Log API
A self-directed REST API modelling offshore ROV inspection logging (dives, anomalies, structural observations, and equipment readings), with secure endpoint design and a repository architecture. Built to understand the maritime and offshore situational data that CarteNav works in.
HRM Web Application
A full-stack application built end to end: a TypeScript frontend consuming a REST API backend, with authentication, role-based authorization, and documented API references. Containerization and deployment in progress.
Agentic LLM & Data Analysis Work
An agent orchestrating a multi-step decision workflow with deterministic, tested logic, plus a machine-learning pipeline comparing model explanation methods, with documented results and an interactive demo.
